“Join our pilgrimage— seeking quality, truth and accountability in coffee. We journey to find the finest and most unique coffees in the world.”

“Growing up in Puerto Rico, Norberto always loved coffee. Ever since he was a kid, his grandma would share her love of coffee with him every afternoon. After years of traveling and trying different coffee around the world, he decided to hone a new skill by roasting his own coffee. His love for metal music and coffee motivated him to start Obscure Coffee Roasters. Obscure sources most of the beans directly from farmers or coffee collectives which pay farmers and producers a fair price while also helping their communities by funding education programs and improving coffee infrastructure. Obscure Coffee Roasters aims to combine metal and coffee by collaborating with bands and local artists and businesses while delivering excellent tasting coffee.”

“We're a small team of coffee professionals from Brooklyn that are passionate about curating and roasting sweet, juicy, and complex coffees that exhibit well-structured and interesting flavor profiles. We roast in a style we call New York-Nordic, influenced by our training in Norway and our barista careers in New York. The style falls somewhere around medium-light, but with a pronounced clarity, sweetness, and structure.”

“We select our coffees based on their unique tasting profiles and of course that are 100% fully traceable. We partner with importers that share our values and we roast each one of our coffees carefully to bring the best flavours they have to offer.”

“High quality makes something an investment. In taste, experience or longevity. By product development, supplying high quality coffee, building long term relationships with suppliers and only settling for top-segment products.”

“Danny here, creator of the wicked cute roasting machine, Botz. Botz Coffee was born out of a love for coffee roasting, video games, and an endearing nickname my sister has been calling me since childhood. After honing my skills across the U.S., I returned to my hometown of Munster, Indiana to start a micro-roastery focused on buying ethically sourced green in small quantities and delivering a fresh, thoughtful menu. My goal is to imbue each batch of coffee with a different character, so whether you’re experiencing a warm sense of nostalgia or a playful new flavor combination, you’re excited to greet the Botz bag for your morning brew.”
